Photo Essay: The Healing Field - Flags for Fallen Soldiers
From Sept. 11 - 18, 2005, in Broomfield, Colorado, a field of 5200 flags honored those who died on Sept. 11, 2001, and those who have died since then in the war against terrorism.
Every flag has a yellow ribbon; every yellow ribbon has a tag.
In grateful memory of U.S. Army Sergeant Nathaniel T. Swindell age 24 from Bronx, New York US who died on 1/15/2005 in Mosul while defending liberty for you and me.
In a small area set apart are the flags of the solders who died since the Healing Field was set up.
Fallen Coalition soldiers are also honored.

Skinning the Rattlesnake
This rattlesnake was found basking on the farmhouse driveway. He was quickly dispatched as rattlers aren't allowed to live near the house. He had a mouse in his stomach. We ate his flesh and liver.
Nailing the Snakeskin
Karen nails the rattlesnake skin to a board to dry. She took the rattle home as a gift for her boyfriend.
